Defending champions Thailand have been dumped out of the SEA Games following a shock 2-1 loss to rivals Malaysia.

The Harimau Malaya scored twice in the final nine minutes to complete their comeback and advance to the semi-finals of the Under-23 football competition, qualifying just behind Group A winners Vietnam with nine points.
